A to Z Blogging Challenge

2016 A to Z Challenge – A review

Well, we made it.  We came in a little late, but we crossed the finish line.  As usual things didn’t go as planned.  My hope was to have posts written ahead of time and scheduled, but instead I was playing catch up all month.  But none the less I had fun exploring my mind, my creativity, my blocks and everything else.

The best part of the A to Z Challenge, is I meet new bloggers every year and this year had the added bonus of getting me back to  writing.  School and work were taking up an obscene amount of my time and writing was put on the back burner for a while.  Since April I have written over 14,000 words and have officially reached the halfway point in this book.

One of the biggest down sides of the A to Z Challenge (besides my obvious lack of planning skills) is having good ideas for blogging, but it doesn’t fit with the theme or letter of the next posts.  I some how keep convincing myself that those ideas will come back and I don’t need to write them down.  Silly me, some days I can barely remember why I got out of my chair, let alone get into another room and forget why I went in there.  Hopefully, by next April (if I decide to participate again) I will have my planning figured out and can still write those good idea posts that have nothing to do with the A to Z Challenge.

All in all it’s been fun, but I’m looking forward to getting back my normal blog posts.
